Back to normal

hey friends and family!
Just wanted to update yall on my life here...so everything is back to normal...Babysitting harps wed/fridays and i LOVE it! let me just tell you that this child brings me so much joy to my life! everyday things that she does says and her smiles! Im so thankful to spend my time with her, we are now working on spanish. Whenever its just us two we only speak in spanish and she is starting to really get it.
She often says "que color es esto" what color is this as she points at things and ill answer viceversa
I dont have favorites i love all the kids but i just spend most of my time w/ harps!

Other than babysitting this sem im taking a class. Biology, i know i wish i was taking more than one but to be honest its for the best bc its kicking my butt! 

I love the church and community that i have built here in Scottsdale! its def. starting to feel like home!

I go to a BS on wed and i couldnt be happier in it. My BS leader is amazing she loves the Lord and it shows through every lesson! shes crazy and fun! all the girls are! i mean lets get real could i go to a BS that was conservative and lame?! nopeee!

Random thought but the other day i was gchatting w/ my friend Kerrigan and i was reminded of a quote that i really like and want to live it more every day! "Be happy where ur at and not where you might be" So often in life we think we're going to be happier if we were married or had more money or lost weight etc. really we need to love ourselves how we are and where were at in life...of course theirs always room for improvement but dont wast your life wishing something else.

I suck @ life

okay ive been terrible at posting...partly bc i went home for nearly a month and was obsessed w/ being there duhhh! now im back and ready to blog again! i know i need to update yall on my christmas life etc. Ive had some few changes but that will come in the next posts.

I was reading my friend Jessi Lails blog who is much better @ posting than i am! and shes so funny! anyways i came accross a girl she posted who im obsessed w/ shes frikin hilarious to the point to where you have to get up and pee ur laughing so hard but you take your laptop w/ you bc you dont want to stop reading! yup!

okay...if you know anything about me you know that i am not a fan of LOL im just not! i find many things funny but the simple LOL makes me angry....if im laughing @ something u wrote me i usually type "jajajajajajajajaja oh maa gahhh hu-la-rious!" or "jajajajjajaja im peeing in my pants right now im laughing so hard" you get the point....so enjoy this post bc i 4 real was crying i was laughing so hard!

Rule #3: Laugh Like You Mean It

Today I’m going to talk about a very real and serious topic: misuse of the acronym for “laughing out loud.”

Despite the fact that I have stated my feelings on this subject on many occasions, people still find it necessary, in our text, e-mail, and Facebook conversations, to use “lol” as though it is punctuation.

It’s not.

I laugh out loud a lot. Like, my mom often says, “What were you in your room laughing about last night?” (One night it was at these 41 Hilarious Mugshots — I’m not exaggerating when I say I laughed for ten minutes straight and then on and off for the next hour. My abs hurt and my make-up was running because I was so overwhelmed with hysterics.)

I can’t help myself! I love to laugh. I surround myself with friends who make me laugh. And, oh yeah, I try to make people laugh. And of course everyone likes making people laugh, but, really, making people laugh is in my job description.

So if you’re not really laughing, I feel as though you’re lying to me. And…I take it personally.

Here’s my guide to expressing laughter virtually.

• Don’t type “lol” after you’ve made a joke to let me know you’re making a joke. I know internet humor is tricky but you aren’t actually laughing at yourself. If you must clarify, just say “haha.” I’ll get it. And “haha” isn’t a lie.
• Guys — do not write “lol” in an effort to make it seem like you didn’t just suggest something really dirty you want to do to me. I know that guys think “lol” is the perfect way to flirt but…you aren’t really laughing to yourself. At least I hope you aren’t. If you’re sitting there giggling as you tap out, “Let’s f*ck in public tonight”…we do not share the same sense of humor. You either mean it or you’re kidding. I’m pretty sure you mean it. So just own it. And then suggest a location.
• Do not write “LMAO” at your own apparent joke (especially if you’re a dude who just suggested something really dirty). I mean, really!? Really. I crack myself up sometimes, but I rarely type something so hysterical I feel qualified to say I’m laughing my ass off at myself. If I do write something so ridiculous I crack myself up, my friends know because I’ll just write, “hahaha I totally cracked myself up on that one.” Then we all laugh out loud at our respective desks even harder.
• If you are LMFAO or ROTFL at your own joke, you need to go to LOL rehab because now you’re just being ridiculous.
• I do not like “lol.” It’s weak. If I’m really laughing, you’re going to get it IN CAPS. “LOL” means “WOW, that was really funny and I just burst out laughing and am now enduring the public embarrassment that comes along with it.”
• “LITERAL LOL” must be written to people who do not understand the rules of LOLs. (Unfortunately, some people know even less about the definition of the word “literal” than they do about LOL…but that is a topic for another day.) To my close friends, LLOL will also do the trick. Although my close friends, in general, know that LOL is the same as LLOL or even lol. We simply do not lie about our laughs.
• If you and your friends LLOL a lot, it’s acceptable to say “lolz” or “lulz” sometimes because that usually causes an extra LLOL for both parties. I mean, I hate hipsters, but basically “lolz” is ironic and therefore acceptable. It should still be done sparingly, or it loses its hilarity!

• If you type “haha” it means, “I’m smiling and I’d probably laugh out loud if we were together but I’m not moved enough to laugh out loud here by myself.”
• If you type “hahaha” it means the same as “haha,” only the joke was even funnier.
• If you type “HAHA” it just means, “That was really funny and I totally appreciated it, and maybe even emitted a loud snort or ‘HA!’ but I didn’t actually laugh.”
• If you type “HAHAHA LITERAL LOL,” you are about to pee your pants and I feel as though I just struck gold.

There’s nothing I hate more than watching a friend sit in front of her laptop totally straight-faced as she types “OMG LOL hahaha.” Surround yourself with people who make you LLOL. It’s worth the stares in Starbucks to have friends who make you feel good!

Friendsgiving

Friendsgiving is thanksgiving with friends, some of my AZ friends started it 3 years ago and i am soo excited that i was a part of it! We had a huge table at the Fergusons that fit all 27 of us! there was a lot of laughter, dancing, eating, and games going on!!

Only 3 more weeks of school and then vegas and HOME!! i official leave dec 16th 3pm! ahhh i couldn't be more excited! im so ready to see my family! friends! and play play play!

My 2nd visitor!!

Last wknd i had my friend Hannah Wrenn come visit me! i was soo excited to have her and def counting down the days!! ! Her flight did'nt go as expected bc it got delayed HOWEVER it worked out even better b/c she flew to Vegas and B the kids and i met her there! we were there for 2 days and 1 night! Neither one had been so we were up for the experience! we did a lot of walking, sight seeing, shopping, eating, and then it was time to get back in the car and head back to Phoenix! a short but good trip, after all vegas isnt the kid friendliest place! BUT IT GOT ME SOOO EXCITED 4 when i go in Dec! ahhhh!
After Vegas, Hannah and i met up w/ Ann one of her good highschool friends and went 2 the ASU game! great game! also got to see a lot of ridiculous halloween costumes!! So glad she came and thanful 4 her!

This wknd i went to flagstaff with some of the girls in my BS! Flagstaff is only 2 hours away and it is very similar to Boone! its also 30 degrees cooler than Phoenix so it was nice to take a break from 90's during nov?!? we had a BLAST! i am so thanful 4 those girls! a couple of them just moved to phoenix in the past 5 months so they get me and my current situation. we played games, talked, LAUGHED!, had a great dinner that included sweet tea!! 1st time since raleigh! shopped and just got to be with girls!

Ive been doing well! getting excited for the holidays and

FELIZ CUMPLEANOS MONICA/DARLENY!!! Today is my little sister/best friends bday! ahhhh i cant believe she is 19 2day! we met 5 years ago! and honestly nobody gets me how she does! we have done everything 2gether for the past 5 years! wherever i went she did! She became a part of my family and i am soo thankful 4 u MONICA!!! This will b the 1st bday in 5 years we havent spent 2gether and im soo sad BUT! we will b 2gether so soon! enjoy 2day and know that u r extrmely loved and missed mwahhhh!!! I am so proud of everything Monica has accomplished! she is one of the strongest/most beautiful women i know!! she has blessed my life in so many ways! thanku 4 ur friendship  and support in everything! te quiero mucho! acuerdese q usted es una hija de Dios y este dia solo es possible por el! TE AMO!!!

So last night, i made chicken and dumplings! thanks 2 Claires recipe it came out delish! B wasnt feeling well and the day was kinda gray sooo chicken and dumplings it was!!
ill post the recipe just how it was given 2 me!

heres my recipe for chicken n dumplins
boil a big pot of water with celery, onion, garlic, and chicken broth.
add chicken breasts with the bone and skin. let that boil for about 1 and a half hours. take the chicken out and bone them. put back in the water. make the dumplins(follow the recipe on the bisquick box, except i usually roll small balls of the ingredients and put them in the water at the same time so they stay together better) lower the temperature on the stove and i usually only boil the dumplins for 5 minutes uncovered and then 5 minutes covered!

Thursday i have my 2nd visitor and it is...........! Hannah Wrenn! i am sooo every excited! i will be posting pics and updating yall and how it was after she leaves!!


Also i have to post one more thing. B sends out this weekly email abt dancing w/ the stars! and this was in once of her paragraphs! i LIT cried!! i was laughing so hard!! its freakin hilarious! 

"Jennifer...Derek's choreography is "Dank"!!  What the hell does that mean you ask? Well, have a 25 year old move in with you and you will know that it means Awesome, A-mazing, Da bomb or just plain old Good. Before i took  my class in "25 year old Lingo 101" i would have never heard that word. And if i had, i would have thought it to be a negative expression...a mix between Dumb (as in stupid) and Stank (as in past tense of Stink) meaning quite simply, Stupid Stink. Now a mere couple of months into my course, i am using it in a sentence in it's proper form! Plus, "Dumb" actually means funny or something like that, kind of like how "Bad" sometimes means "Good".  I'm quite proud. Feel free to use it these words in your own world, if you dare. "
